Your Donation Matters: Holiday Preparation

As the beginning of November quickly approaches, our staff at Sunset Senior Living are preparing to give our residents another joyful holiday season. We know the holidays can be tough for some families, and we do our best to bring happiness and comfort to our entire Sunset community. However, we can’t do it alone.

Generous donations and contributions from our residents, families, and community have helped Sunset provide exceptional quality and care to all of our residents. As the holidays and end-of-the-year approach, we ask that you consider a charitable donation to our facility. Helps us continue to make a difference in the many lives we care for.

WAYS YOU CAN GET INVOLVED

Volunteer

Your time is one of the most valuable contributions you can make. Volunteers are the heart of Sunset Senior Living, and we offer a variety of volunteer opportunities for people of all ages. Help wrap presents or assist with group activities. Work in the ice cream shoppe or help in the computer lab. We often have volunteer opportunities available, and we are always happy to welcome new members to our family! If you would like to apply for Volunteer opportunities, please fill out our Volunteer Application and drop it by our facility or email a copy to cdallas@sunsethome.org.

Monetary Donations

Sunset Senior Living is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. This means monetary donations to our nonprofit are tax deductible. Your tax deductible contributions help us maintain the endowment that ensures our ability to provide compassionate care for future generations. Donations can be made toward a specific purpose, or they can be specified as ‘unrestricted’ which allows our facility to use the donation where it is most needed.

Along with cash or single monetary donations, Sunset Senior Living is also able to graciously accept:

  • A gift designated in honor or memory of loved ones
  • A gift designated for a particular department or program
  • Gifts of matured stocks, bonds or mutual funds
  • A bequest in your will
  • A gift funded by the proceeds of your retirement plan or charitable IRA rollover
  • A designation of Sunset Home as owner and beneficiary of a life insurance policy
  • Life income gifts, such as a charitable gift annuity or charitable remainder unitrust

Over half of our residents are unable to pay the full cost of their care. Large or small, every monetary donation to our facility matters. We appreciate all of our benefactors, contributors, and supporters. In June of 2021, Sunset Senior Living kicked off our 728 Project. The goal of the 728 Project is to make a significant investment in the Quincy community for a new Sunset Senior Living facility to provide unmatched care options. Our campus is in need of updates, and your contributions can help turn Sunset Senior Living into a beautiful, new continuum care facility for our community.
